Sherry AG McCoy earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Grounded in her faith, Sherry is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults navigating ADHD, depression, trauma, grief, and family transitions. She believes every individual possesses unique strengths and resilience, and she is committed to helping clients recognize and build upon those strengths as they work toward healing and personal growth.
Sherry’s clinical approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She integrates evidence-based practices, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play-Based Therapy modalities, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote emotional wellness and lasting positive change.
